Konto löschen
Du kannst dein peerio-Konto jederzeit löschen. Am schnellsten geht es direkt in der App unter Einstellungen → Konto löschen — dort passiert es sofort. Wenn du keinen Zugriff mehr auf die App hast, stelle hier einen Antrag.
Was gelöscht wird
Sofort und endgültig:
- dein Konto, dein Profil und deine Profilangaben
- alle Direktnachrichten, in beide Richtungen
- dein Profilbild und alle Dateien, die du hochgeladen hast
- deine Kontakte, Push-Anmeldungen und Abo-Daten
- Peers und Meets, an denen sonst niemand teilnimmt
Bleibt in anonymisierter Form:
- Deine Nachrichten in Gruppen-Chats (Peers und Meets) werden durch „Nachricht gelöscht“ ersetzt und verlieren den Absender. Die Zeile bleibt, damit das Gespräch für die anderen Teilnehmenden nicht auseinanderfällt.
- Peers und Meets, an denen andere teilnehmen, bleiben bestehen — ohne deinen Namen und ohne Bezug zu dir.
Was wir aufbewahren müssen
Getrennt vom laufenden Betrieb und ohne Zugriff aus der App bewahren wir auf:
- Die Tatsache der Löschung mit Zeitpunkt und deiner Kauf-Historie — 7 Jahre, wegen der handels- und steuerrechtlichen Aufbewahrungspflichten.
- Nur wenn es zu deinem Konto eine Meldung oder eine Moderationsentscheidung gab: den Vorgang. Die Inhalte daraus werden nach 12 Monaten gelöscht, der Vorgang selbst nach 3 Jahren.
Gab es keine Meldung zu deinem Konto, entsteht auch kein solcher Eintrag.
Wie es weitergeht
Wir melden uns per E-Mail an die Adresse, die du hier einträgst, und bestätigen den Antrag. Erst nach deiner Antwort löschen wir — das schützt davor, dass jemand anderes deine Adresse einträgt.
Du kannst auch die Löschung einzelner Daten beantragen, ohne dein Konto zu löschen. Nutze dafür dasselbe Formular und beschreibe, worum es geht.
Delete account
You can delete your peerio account at any time. The fastest way is directly in the app under Settings → Delete account — it happens immediately. If you no longer have access to the app, submit a request below.
What gets deleted
Immediately and permanently:
- your account, your profile and all profile details
- all direct messages, in both directions
- your profile picture and every file you uploaded
- your contacts, push registrations and subscription data
- peers and meets that nobody else takes part in
Kept in anonymised form:
- Your messages in group chats (peers and meets) are replaced with „Message deleted“ and lose their sender. The row stays so the conversation does not fall apart for the other participants.
- Peers and meets with other participants remain — without your name and without any link to you.
What we are required to keep
Separately from live operations and with no access from the app, we keep:
- The fact of the deletion with its timestamp and your purchase history — 7 years, due to commercial and tax retention obligations.
- Only if there was a report or a moderation decision concerning your account: the case record. Its contents are deleted after 12 months, the record itself after 3 years.
If there was no report concerning your account, no such record exists.
What happens next
We will email the address you enter here to confirm the request. We only delete after your reply — this protects you from someone else entering your address.
You can also request the deletion of individual data without deleting your account. Use the same form and describe what it is about.
